When it comes to online accessibility, there are a litany of rules and regulations, especially for companies with 50 or more employees--and especially coming into the new decade. A host of new laws make WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards mandatory for many SMB's and all corporations, yet (believe it or not) many websites are designed without ADA/AODA compliance in mind! A non-compliant website means two things, besides fewer & more frustrated visitors: lawsuits and fines. That's where Accessible Web comes in. Founders Peter Jewitt, Pete Bruhn and their innovative team have developed an online tool suite for accessibility compliance testing, much like how SEO tool suites help a company rank better in online search results. They also perform accessibility audits and remediations to get websites back on track. The same day we spoke on the phone, Pete was in between meetings with some mammoth organizations--truly amongst the biggest in the world--and that's also the reason he'd reached out to us. Accessible Web needed clean, professional PDF covers for their proposals and audit reports to match the level of clients they'd been working with. We knew Pete admired Apple's clean design aesthetic, so we took cues from the tech giant without straying too far from Accessible Web's website design aesthetic.
